Web Site Design
Web site design isn't a simple matter of
cloning your flyer, brochure, or magazine article into a screen presentation.
Creating a web site that looks good, works well, and provides something useful,
interesting, or entertaining for your visitors requires that you look at the big picture
and consider how it integrates into your normal business routine.
"Cyberspace" is a trendy word, but it does exist, and it offers an array of
unprecedented opportunities for those who are willing to be creative.
A Web page has
nothing to do with hardcopy (paper) size, but everything to do with navigation and
transmission size. We recommend that our clients keep their individual pages
between one to four screens in length and few enough graphics to transmit under 20-45
seconds.
Consistency and simplicity are important. We believe that the header, footer and menu should
be consistent through all pages and the background light enough to easily read text
on. (White has become the accepted standard.) Remember, graphics, sound,
video, and motion should not be over done. |
