Web site Creation Process
A basic consultation with you will determine a Web marketing
strategy for your Internet presence. We will not oversell services to you that are
not needed or wanted.
We will design and produce your Web site for an hourly fee or create a proposal custom to
your project. We feel this allows maximum flexibility for you and minimum exposure
to unexpected cost over runs. Once the first estimate is produced and approved, if
we discover more time is needed, we will confirm the increase with you before proceeding.
We prefer to avoid predicting estimates for generic sites as each
client has custom and differing needs that can be met just as easily.
Near completion of the project, a "Changes and Final
Review" summary will be delivered detailing the components that are completed,
pending, and further improvement issues we've discovered may apply. Each of these
three sections detail the hours used and predicted to complete your project.
We can suggest an economical Internet Service Provider (ISP)
based upon our experiences and your needs. Initial billing for their services will
be passed through to you. Once installation is complete, the ISP will bill you
directly for their monthly services.
After we submit your Web site to several search engines, we
will instruct you how to continue increasing your Web site traffic on your own.
A Web page has nothing to do with hardcopy (paper) size, but
everything to do with navigation and load time. We recommend that our clients keep
their individual pages between one to four screens in length and few enough graphics to
transmit under 20-45 seconds. This page for example, though it loaded quickly, needs
navigation menus installed throughout due to it's length.
We believe that the header and menu and footer should be consistent on
all pages and the background should be light enough to easily read text on. White has
become the accepted standard for most businesses, though colorful
backgrounds are successful for Jewelry and Photography sites, as an
example.
Our clients submit their text to us in a standard word processor
format via Email attachment, or on disk. Text should be pre-formatted and edited
into a final form before we receive it. However, if it will simply be added to
existing documents, formatting is not necessary
The World Wide Web is a colorful, graphical environment. We will design a custom
graphic to be used in the header of each page using your logo or other appropriate
source. We will also create a background graphic for you if requested, though we
suggest a white background or a border on the left side for easy viewing.
If you have other graphics or photographs you would like used,
include them on disk
or deliver master proofs that we can scan and place on your Web site.
A very powerful feature of your Web site will be a response form or an order form.
Visitors to your site can give their name, address, phone, etc., as well as details
about information they are looking for. Forms can also be used as order forms for
information or products.
After you've approved the Web site as we've designed it, we will
install the pages on the Web Internet Service Provider's server that
you've agreed upon. To fully market your Web site, you will need to add your Web site
URL (IE: "www.JurgensIS.Com") and your Email address (IE: Craig@JurgensIS.Com)
to your existing literature (letter head, business cards, brochures, invoices, statements,
t-shirts, signage, ads, telephone books, vehicles, etc.) as you re-issue them.
That's what it takes to put a Web site together. We would like to share our
experience with you and become your Web site development and maintenance partner.
We look forward to serving you and expanding your marketing
strategy to the World Wide Web. |
